About Our Project

kids reading tablet

This is the website of “A British Story” book and possible film project aimed to raise money, from the release of the book and hopefully a film, for British children’s community projects.

The concept of this project is to recruit volunteers to submit a short written story about a day in their life. These stories will be posted on our site so that users can vote which will be included in the book.

After the closing dated of 31st October 2017 our community will be given the chance to vote for their favorite 20 stories, which will be shortlisted for our panel to choose the final section for our book “A British Story”

After, what we hope to be a successful book released, our aim is to recruit screen play writers, proof readers, story writers, and publishing agents/experts who will work on turning the book in to a movie. This is an afterthought and will depend on the book being successful.

The plot of each of the short stories will differs but one constant remains: this is about ONE DAY IN THE LIFE OF A BRITISH PERSON.

The resulting movie would be called ‘A British Story’ and would consist of a series of stories from the book stories about one day in the life of an ordinary British person.

The short stories in the film will be about different people, rich or poor from around Great Britain.  If produced, the writers whose scenes make it to the final selection will be invited to the premiere of the film and be guaranteed a screen credit.
